iOS is a mobile operating system made by Apple, it was originally designed to run on the iPhone and iPod Touch but is also now installed on other Apple devices such as iPads and Apple TV. iOS only runs on devices that were created by Apple, similar to how the Macintosh operation system only runs on Apple produced computers.
